Not everyone knows this exotic fruit, derived from a plant native to the Sonda Islands and the Moluccas Archipelago, belonging to Indonesia. It is the mangosteen, present since centuries in the traditional ethnic medicine thanks to its antimicrobial qualities, useful for the treatment of wounds such as skin ulcers and diarrhoea. It has its importance also in cosmetics because it has important anti-aging properties thanks to its high content of antioxidants.
In addition to this it is useful to reduce allergies because it decreases the release of histamine in the human body. Apart from these properties, it has important components for our metabolism such as Potassium, Calcium, Phosphorus, Iron, Vitamin B1, B2, B6, and vitamin C.
In Italy it is difficult to find the fruit, but it is possible to take it through a very good juice without preservatives, sugars and chemical ingredients, named Mango-xan.
Inside the juice there are also pulp and puree of 6 other fantastic fruits:
pineapple, cranberry, cranberry, blackberry, black cherry, pear and grape.
