Who I am

I was born in Slovenia and before becoming a model I graduated in Political Science at the University of Ljubljana. There are many activities that have characterized my professional background that goes from rom to fashion, theater, on TV screen and advertising.

For all the 80’s and 90’s I worked as a successful professional model and wearer in Italy and abroad for big events like Prèt-à-Porter in Milan, Haute couture in Rome, New York, London and Paris. During these years I have collaborated with international photographers including Oliviero Toscani, Helmut Newton, Fabrizio Ferri, Gianpaolo Barbieri, Steven Meisel, Richard Avedon, Arthur Elgort, Bruce Weber, Norman Parkinson, David Bailey. I posed for large swimsuit companies, also appearing on various covers (Cosmopolitan, Bazaar, Moda In, Vogue Italia, Elle …). I have paraded for high fashion designers both in Italy and abroad, of which I can list some names such as: Renato Balestra, Valentino, Gucci, Rocco Barocco, Armani, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Pierre Cardin, Emanuel Ungaro, Donna Karen, Calvin Klein, Isac Mizrahi, Vivienne Westwood. I have been testimonial in various advertising campaigns appearing also for infomercials, TV fictions, theater pieces, video clips and other.

Today

I chose to become a model to see the world and meet new people from different cultures. This was what prompted me to launch into this profession that knows how to give many rewards but that also requires many sacrifices and a strong character to be carried forward. I pursue my passion by teaching also in my school for models / and the “Bernie models” where I try to convey to young people the enthusiasm and the qualities necessary to carry on this job. There are many other projects I am working on and I’llparticipate in, I hope with this blog to be able to pass the same passion like I do. Who knows, maybe one day you will also feel ready or curious to get closer to this fascinating world named fashion.
