After several years spent in the fashion industry and two years in Milan, Jasmina returned to Maribor where she decided to study fine arts at the Faculty of Educational Sciences. She has been an established teacher for ten years at her art gallery “ARTdidakta” in Slovenia where she teaches painting, drawing and printing techniques. But her skills do not stop at teaching alone. For four years she has been working as a designer for the creation of bags and jewellery.
Jasmina Granduč’s BaGs offers handmade bags with a minimalist, conceptual and unique design for women with a sophisticated taste. The aim of each object created by the author is to discard the myth of luxury, enhancing the linear essence and avoiding excess. In addition to her line of bags, she also offers fashion accessories ranging from necklaces to the most sophisticated jewelry. Here the intersection between fashion and art is felt in each of her products, combining contrasts of color and finding new, unusual combinations of basic materials such as a sheet of PVC screwed to form the shell that will contain a bag. Jasmina also finds constant inspiration in returning to timeless shapes. Each piece is assembled and made with every detail in mind and is a work of art in its own right, created and followed personally from the project to the final product by Jasmina herself.
Jasmina’s works have been shown at a fashion exhibition at the Maribor Museum.
